Black & Decker EHC650 2-Speed Food Chopper with 3-Cup Bowl ...

Two years ago I bought the Black & Decker KEC600 Cordless Can Opener. The Black & Decker EHC650 Ergo 3-Cup Food Chopper is unlike anything I have used before. Step 3: Place the cover on and push one of the two buttons (one’s quick and one’s slow). While browsing in the Black and Decker area, I came across this B&D Ergo 3 cup food chopper. One reviewer commented that they wish they would offer the bottom container as a separate item because it would be convenient, to have more than one. I contacted Black & Decker online, and they have a companionship that they refer you to that handles their substitution parts. I have a 90 year ancient mother I take care of. When she complains about the food not being tender enough, I drop it in the chopper, the razor sharp blades spin at the slow or quick speed, and out comes a gorgeous puree. The increased flexibility is worth it. One other note, worth mentioning, is that the top which houses the motor is simple to clean, even though their are those who complain, that it is not submersible. The water pouring only hits the underdside of the center on out, and easily pours over the outer lip, lacking ever getting anywhere near the on off switch, or other sensitive to water areas. Now I don’t know which one I like… no, like better. If mine gets dropped and breaks, I don’t want to take a chance on not having one. There’s the cup, the commanding blade that slips into the cup, and the ergonomic top. Two settings – quick-pulse and slow-pulse – give you flexibility in how coarse you want your food to be chopped. No more hand chopping garlic, now I fine chop it before sautéing for making sauce. I highly urge this product based on its simple of use and ease of clean-up. This is the best electric food chopper I ever used. Additionally, I like the fact that it comes with a removable flexible bottom, that doubles as a lid when you want to place your blendings in the refrig, lacking having to scoop them out. Additionally the blade is easily removable from the base, simply by pushing down on it, while giving it a quarter turn. Step 1: Take the one-pound chopper off the shelf. July 5, 2007 update: Since I received the substitution bowl, I have used this appliance constantly, that is, three to five times a week. The see-through container lets you see the food as it is being chopped. Because I don’t ever want to go lacking it. Since it is a plug in the wall device, it wil probably last for 20 years. A quick pop into the micro to freshen up the heating, and she likes it. I’m ordering a further chopper. Use what you need then pop the handy lid on the container and store it in your fridge. No blades stuck in the bottom, making it hard to clean. That makes even the top simple to clean. Fantastic for cleaning the 3 qt base also. In this case they are sending me a complimentary new 3 cup plastic bowl. Just don’t stress this chopper out with something like chestnuts. Ever wish you could chop up an onion in 2 seconds. As a chopper to use on a daily basis, this is unbeatable. Up it pops, ready for removal and simple cleaning. The center section that holds the blade has begun to break. Step 2: Take off the cover and fill the container. I have had no problems with the center section of the substitution bowl. I’m going to have to find a substitution for the plastic bowl. Don’t need all those chopped onions right now....
