Black & Decker NLP1800 Alligator Lopper 18-Volt Cordless Chain Saw Read more. I have cut down small trees and cut them up lopped off big limbs even cut up delivered firewood that was too long for my stove. Great for light work I'd love to see a video of 150 cuts per charge I bought this to cut up 3 ornamental trees crab apple flowering cherry and some purple leafed thing and a large bush. The saw is not too heavy pulling away what you cut is harder than cutting it down. It does a very good job on making individual cuts I didn't expect the speed of the gaspowered one with which I cut cord wood back in the day. Basically I'm thinking of this as giant electric scissors D Thank you Black and Decker. Saw is great Charger not so great The saw is wonderful however the battery charger does not work after just two months of use. includes 18-volt battery, battery charger, and oil bottle Innovative clamping jaws grab and cut in one easy motion Six inch bar length. I get about an hour of use which includes time to pull away what I'm cutting so it's not an hour of running the saw. Hard wood trees use the battery faster as do larger diameter trees and branches. Go with the electric model This battery model is convenient but it doesn't have to cutting powerthat the electric model has. Great tool Great tool I use it around my yard all the time very versatile. I can cut a 5 inch diameter tree fairly easy although they say the saw is for branches. Problem is that after 8 or 9 cuts of 4 inch diameter the battery needs a 36 hour charge. I chose the battery powered option for more flexibility in future use away from an outlet and so my teen age son could do the work with no risk of cutting an extension cord. The saw is very safe you cannot run it with one hand so no likelihood of cutting your hands. It is easy to use light weight to carry around very safe I don't get tired or a back ache and I LOVE it. The oiling system is lousy but I just put it directly on the chain every 10 minutes or so and that works fine. Cuts branches and logs up to four inches in diameter Powerful 18-volt motor limited 2-year warranty. I've cut a lot of dead wood from shrubs and trees and the battery has always lasted. The guards around the chain protect everything else so you won't cut your foot unless you put your foot into the jaw. Granted I've only been working with it 24 hours but as a 50 yr old female who has been terrified of chainsaws in general all her life and had never touched one before it feels like a major accomplishment to be finally helping to clean up some... Used it to cut all the limbs off of the trunk mostly less than 2 inches. I noticed now that the claimed 150 cuts is based on 11/2 inch pine branches. Receive this Alligator Lopper just in time to help cut up a downed 30 ft. White Pine. I have a woodburning stove and this Lopper is absolutely wonderful for cutting up small firewood and kindling. One hint I put oil in a squeeze mustard bottle instead of the small bottle that came with the saw....
