What drill is better? - Decorating & Remodeling Home Garden Design
What you need to look for in a drill/hammer depends on the task at hand, usually, but as a general guideline trying to match the tool with greatest amount of tasks that the tool will be used for is usually your best bet. From the perspective of the occasional use homeowner/DIY individual, Black and Decker tools work just fine. Black and Decker has made attempts in the past to enter the industrial equipment line of products and in my experience they have failed. Looking at it from a builders perspective I would, and have, choose the Bosch brand of ANY tool. Bosch in my opinion is in the top 3 across the board in a lineup of all power tools. You will not even need the Hammer function to easily penetrate the brick just the right drill head. High wattage units draw a significant amount of power but only increase the RPM’s of the drill head slightly. Ergonomics also play a role in choosing a drill that works for you. As far as hammer drills are concerned they are the best up to 7/8″ spline. I said I have 4 Bulldog drills, they are not all the same. If you are drilling brick it wont matter at all.
