Bostitch CAP2000P-OF pancake compressor will not pressurize ...
com/bostitch-cap2000pof-air-compressor-parts-c-29443_29466_29471. It just seems suspicious to me that the compressor runs and doesn't get past 60 PSI no mater how long it runs. _____________________. Gary, it is unfortunate that you cannot check the gaskets when the compressor is assembled. Should I have used a gasket sealant when I assembled the reeds (valve plate assembly), head, and gaskets. I checked to make sure that I had good suction on the intake stroke, and good pressure on the compression stroke. Based on what you have written, I suspect that you have a crimped or broken gasket that is allowing air to flow back and forth inside the pump, without being pumped into the tank, and the breach occurs at the 60 PSI pressure level. The piston ring was weak on the intake and compression stroke, so I replaced it. I figured that the price for parts was reasonable, so I decided to purchase the reeds assembly and gaskets as well. As a WAG, check your intake filter too, to make sure that it isn't bogging down air intake. However, the compressure will run forever and not go above 60 psi. I have replaced part numbers 55, 58, 59, & 60.
