Reviews Metabo Compare Prices Metabo Combo 4.2 684012420 ...
I’m not gonna point any fingers as you reading this have same access to info as I. I would gladly give this combo 5 stars if i knew for sure that Metabo Customer Service has its act together. I purchased this combo via online bidding for less than the price of drill, 2 lithium batts and charger. Metabo’s slogan is my favorite as well- METABO. I’ve had my Metabo set almost 3 months, have recharged both batteries 5 or 6 times, in about 50 minutes or less. Have decided to go with a couple smaller, cheaper drills for everyday work and save this drill for projects. The batteries and charger are made in China, as are all the rest, but the tools are made in Germany. Have a new 12v Metabo got cheap on the way that i’m excited about and couple small BD drills for the easy stuff. If you spend the time going thru the reviews, most seem to have issues with durability, a flawed design, or something critical missing in design, ie. LED lights that only work when drill is running. Have found several links lately that this is ongoing and hopefully Amazons increased listings of Metabo products is another good sign. Furthermore if you are looking for cordless tools NOT MADE IN CHINA you’ve came to the right place. Although haven’t used the light I know its bright, stands on battery (as does the drill), and stores ready when needed. If you are looking for your next ‘big gun’ drill and think a Panasonic is more than you need or can afford, this unit will stand with any other brand out there and outperform most. I know there’s alot of other nice drills coming out lately, light weight, plenty power, etc. I can see these tools lasting a long time in any application, the quality ia evident. I know of no cordless tools Made in USA. Inside has easy to use velcro straps for holding all tools in place. Was concerned at time of purchase with negative reviews had read about Customer Service. All 4 tools are of the highest quality, my main interest being the hammerdrill. Panasonic makes their own batteries and chargers, apparently the reason they are the best. I’ve yet to take it on the road as it’s just too nice for what i do. Am currently looking into getting the grinder available at Amazon which i believe interchanges with this setup.
