Milwaukee 48-22-1901 Fastback Flip Open Utility Knife Critiques

Since I already own several Milwaukee tools, I know what to expect – a great tool that you can depend on. I don’t know why it took so long for a “wrist flick” utility knife to be made, but Milwaukee has nailed it. The integrated gut hook, wire... It was ironic that this thing was packed so tightly in a plastic clamshell that I had to go find another knife to unwrap this knife. I thought about creating a video review for this utility knife, but I figured with my luck I’d end up losing a finger. Don’t bother with the $15 five packs of cheap knives, just get a couple of these and don’t worry about your knife breaking anymore. The knife has some nice design features, like a wire stripping notch and a gut hook. I have been through dozens and dozens of the cheapo razor knife packs from the big box hardware stores because I thought these knives were essentially disposable. I kept thinking, “doggone it – I sure wish there were some way to use this knife to open its own stinking package”. I always like to have the best tool for the job, so when I discovered this knife I purchased it immediately. This makes the knife fit perfectly in my hand. One unmentioned feature of this knife is the paint can(or bottle. This knife is fantastic though. that they would doubtlessly break, rust up, or have the blade change mechanism gum up. This Milwaukee is still working like brand new after 6 months in the field and a joy to use. The pocket clip keeps it right where you need it. The blade lock and heft of the folding blade are perfectly designed for you to flick it open with your wrist.
